Want to prep your skin for summer but not sure what to use? Read Sanctuary convert Jeni’s review below to help you choose…
“I have fairly sensitive skin and as such I am always wary of trying new products. I have become a religious user of a popular high street brand, but was recently given some Sanctuary products as a gift. I was reluctant of trying them, but decided to go ahead. Thank God I did – I am completely and utterly converted. I have been using the body butter for four days now, and the results are only just short of miraculous. This evening I used this salt scrub and I can honestly say my skin is in heaven right now. I fully intend on making EVERY colleague stroke my amazingly smooth legs tomorrow. The second I get paid next month I’m buying more and more of this amazing product! I can’t wait to dedicate one night a week to feeling THIS amazing.
(Can you tell I’m in heaven?! I’m done now. )”
I too can agree with Jeni after recently using the Salt Scrub to prepare for fake tan, it resulted in me being that amazed that I went round my house asking everyone to feel how smooth my legs were! Definitely freaking my house mate’s out but it had to be done! This is definitely a summer essential in my eyes!

Of all our products there’s a few which will always be our favourites, one of which is our Spa Essentials Body Butter. This deliciously creamy formula has proved the test of time and is one of our best sellers.
Not satisfied with a perfect formula and best seller title, our busy Product Team have worked tirelessly to introduce two new sister products in our Body Butter line up.
Age Repair Body Butter
Using the same principles of the hydrating formulas and ingredients as the Classic Body Butter product, this new anti-aging option is fast absorbing, nourishing and full of age repairing ingredients, including Nuteline® – a natural peptide derived from Hazelnuts – which increases collagen synthesis and cell turn over to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin’s firmness. Hydrating cocoa butter combined with skin softening sweet almond and macadamia oil to lock in moisture for 24hrs and improve skins texture and tone.
Ultra Rich Body Butter
More and more women complain that they suffer from dry skin, a condition that restricts women from confidently baring their body. Moving into the winter months this problem will often get worse as many of us tend to neglect and hide our bodies under comforting layers during the colder months and then panic as spring arrives.
Crammed full of moisture boosting ingredients that will melt quickly into distressed skin and keep it hydrated for 24hrs, nourishing shea and cocoa butter combined with skin smoothing wheatgerm oil help leave extra dry and dehydrated skin feeling soft and conditioned.
Having tried both the new butters out for myself, I can confirm that neither left my skin feeling greasy, instead my skin felt soft and really well hydrated. After only a few applications I noticed an improvement in those annoying little bumps on my arms and legs.
Both are priced at £9.99 and are available online from now and in Boots from March.
If you can’t wait to try them, then enter our competition and quote code BBC to get your mitts on a free set worth £27.98! Good luck!

Our very own Spa Essentials Body Butter has been voted as the ‘Best Rich Moisturiser’ by Woman & Home readers.
We love to receive these awards, especially when they are voted for by real women who become fans of the range.
This decadently rich body butter is an intensive skin booster crammed with nourishing Cocoa Butter and creamy Shea Butter. Super moisturising for instant results, this luxurious cream is laced with Sweet Almond Oil, smoothing Macadamia Oil and protective Vitamin E for all over pampering.
Slather this purely sumptuous skin food generously all over clean skin paying particular attention to dry patches such as heels, knees and elbows, for intensive moisturisation.
Happy moisturising!

We were pleased as punch when we found out that our Spa Essentials, that’s the orange top range to those of you in the know, had won such a fantastic award.
Our humble little Body Butter was voted ‘Best Body Moisturiser 2008’ by Handbag.com users which makes the award even more special and so much of an honour.
We never take winning awards for granted and after settling ourselves down after all the excitement we’d like to say a very big “THANK YOU!” to all of those who voted.

Well our Spa in the City tour is finally over (yes we’re sad too). We’ve visited 7 cities in total, our therapists have performed 705 beauty treatments, we’ve given away 36,000 mini Body Butter samples and copious amounts of Champagne to women (and some men) across the country.
We’ve met both new and old fans of the brand and have loved each and every second and hope you have too! Many of you had already heard of The Sanctuary through our products sold in Boots, however many of you weren’t aware that we had a spa in London which is where the inspiration for many of our products come from, so it was great to show you a little of the spa experience by taking it on tour so you can see for yourselves what The Sanctuary is all about.
Lots of you have contacted us to say how disappointed you were that we couldn’t reach your city, in answer to this we truly under estimated just how popular the tour was going to be and just how much you all love The Sanctuary so with this in mind there are talks (from the big chiefs) of doing another tour next year so just watch this space as we may be at a city near you in 2009!
For those who didn’t get the opportunity to visit, the short video below will give you an idea of what went on and what people had to say.
