Body Exfoliation

As a courtesy to all our guests, a prompt appointment schedule is adhered too for both single treatments and spa days. Treatments that begin late will still finish at the appointed time, so not to inconvenience other guests. Please allow plenty of time to get to your treatment waiting lounge where you can relax before the treatment ahead and where your therapist will come and greet you.

On completion of the treatment, your therapist will leave you to re-awaken to the world. Your therapist will then advise you on any homecare advice she believes will enhance the benefits of your treatment.

Please see below for useful tips and advice on the Exfoliating Salt Scrub treatment:

• The treatment is performed in a specialised wet room tailor-made with a relaxing shower whilst laying on the couch.
• Disposable underwear will be provided.
• After the treatment, please avoid all heat and water facilities for at least one hour and drink plenty of water.

The Sanctuary recommends guests who suffer from the following conditions do not have the Exfoliating Salt Scrub treatment:

• High/Low blood pressure
• Hypersensitive / Burnt or heat sensitive skins
• Open cuts / wounds
• Cancer and remission within 6 months
• Recent scarring (3 months)
• Varicose veins
• Contagious skin diseases

All treatments are subject to a completed medical questionnaire at the spa. If you have any questions or discover you have any of the above after making your booking, please call our Reservations team who will be happy to arrange alternative treatments if necessary.

The following Sanctuary products are used in this treatment:

• The bust area is included, if you prefer for this area not to be included within your treatment, please discuss with your therapist, before the treatment begins, who will be happy to meet your requirements.
• After the treatment, please avoid all heat and water facilities for at least one hour and drink plenty of water.
• It is advised to use the sauna and steam room approximately half an hour before the treatment to help open the pores and prepare the muscles for massage.

The Sanctuary recommends guests who suffer from the following conditions do not have the Kyphi Hot Sugar Scrub treatment:

• High / Low blood pressure
• Open cuts / wounds
• Any spinal / vertebral disc problems
• Skin disorders
• Burnt / heat sensitive / hyper-sensitive skin sore/tender areas i.e. following surgery, bruises, varicose veins
• Avoid abdomen in pregnant women
• Pregnancy before 13 weeks
• Cancer and remission under 6 months
